The placement assessments are essential in determining the first level course in mathematics, English and other related courses that students will take during their first semester.
Placement Testing
The Associate Director of Placement Testing administers the English and Math placement assessments to all incoming students as needed, remotely.
The English Placement Assessment is used to determine your first-semester English course placement. There are two parts to the English Placement Assessment :
English Placement Assessment-Essay
English Placement Assessment-Survey
The Math Placement Assessment is used to determine your first-semester math course placement. There are three sections on the math placement assessment :
Basic Algebra
Advance Algebra
Trigonometry & Elementary Functions
We strongly recommend that you prepare by reviewing the subject areas on the math placement assessment. Please review the following information to assist in preparation:

In order to obtain access to the placement assessment you must claim your UCID at least 48 hours prior to the date of the placement assessment if you have not already done so.
